Who doesn’t love a carnival? My kids were so excited about this idea. We played games, decorated pumpkin cookies, and the kids loved crawling under a huge spider web to get their Halloween gift baskets. Definitely a spooktacular time!

Witches Hats Ring Toss

I set up a different game in each room of the house. The first game was called Witches Hats Ring Toss. I put a Halloween ring in the mini witch cauldrons on either side of the game sign. The winner got to choose the cauldron first.

I covered orange cones with black and green tissue paper to look like witches hats.

I used glow in the dark necklaces for the rings.

Players tossed 10 rings each.

The back row was worth 10 points, the middle row was worth 5 points, and the front row was worth 1 point.

The player with the most points wins the game!
Hocus Pocus Aim and Focus

The second game was called Hocus Pocus Aim and Focus. It was a great hand-eye coordination and counting activity.

I taped four witches cauldrons onto the wall, filled a pumpkin basket with the exact amount of tissue paper balls needed for the game, and placed a grabber in front of the basket.

I placed the designated amount of two-sided sticky tape squares onto the cauldrons to hold the tissue paper.

Each player took a turn picking a cauldron to add the tissue paper to. I told them the tissue paper color for the first cauldron and they figured out the rest.
Candy Corn Quest

My kids are obsessed with any kind of hunt game. I knew this one would be a hit. I filled some eggs (a.k.a. candy corns) with little goodies and others with spider rings.

They LOVED using flashlights to find the candy corns! They placed their candy corns in their trick-or-treating bags and opened them after the game.
Halloween Bingo

Gotta love Halloween Bingo! I printed out some Halloween Bingo cards I found online and voila we had another fun game to play.
Ghost Hunt

I started this game by reading the book We’re Going on a Ghost Hunt. Then the kids read this note from Mama Ghost and helped find her six missing ghostlings.

I hid the six ghostlings around the house and when they found one, they placed it by Mama Ghost.
Cookie Decorating

I found some plain pumpkin shaped sugar cookies at our local grocery store and used some icing, sprinkles, and chocolate chips I had on hand for our cookie decorating station.

It doesn’t take much to create a cookie decorating station!

Spider Web Challenge

The final game of the evening, Spider Web! The kids were so excited to play this game. They had to crawl underneath the spider web to reach their Halloween gift baskets and boy were they up to the challenge!!

I filled their gift baskets with Halloween coloring books and other spooky goodies.
