A Perfect Princess Party

Get ready for a royal celebration any princess would be perfectly pleased with. Little details are really what made this party so special. Like the fondant flowers I made for the princess castle birthday cake, which I go into further detail below. Let’s start with the outdoor decor..

Outdoor Decor

A wreath, sign, and some balloons set the tone
These thin vines from Party City added a nice touch to the decor

Indoor Decor

The 24 inch round white balloons created a whimsical setting. Party City offers free balloon delivery on orders above $59 before taxes. Balloon delivery was a definite time saver
When guests walk in they head over to this table to pick up a
gold crown or flower crown
I made a kid size castle out of several pieces of tri-fold white card board and foam board and put it under the window in the front room. The kids played in it everyday!
A closer look from the front
A view from the top. I added pink curtains on either side of the door and draped some pink fabric over the back of the castle. The kids loved putting their mini chairs in there during playtime
I turned our Ikea kitchen into a castle tower (pictured on the right) using white poster board, vines, and a banner. The kids went crazy for this cardboard castle (pictured on the left)
Our living room space
Every princess needs a carriage! I made this carriage using foam board from Dollar Tree, gold letter stickers, gold scrapbooking paper, lots of hot glue, and of course, lace!
I made this flowery number decor by cutting foam board into a large number five, cutting off the stems of several bouquets of flowers I purchased from a local craft store, and hot gluing the flowers onto the foam board
I found this pink castle at Party City and made the banner and
white arrow sign
(same gold sticker letters I used on the foam princess carriage)
And of course, our traditional hallway of streamers!
I hung this lace crown above the food table,
another great find at Party City

Food

Loved these “glass slippers” on the appetizer table. Here is a link to the tiered stand I displayed them on
This yummy dessert table had grapes, strawberries, cotton candy sticks (from Party City), chocolates I put in mini princess crowns, Rice Krispy wands (picture below), and don’t forget the cake! Click here to see how I made this multi-layered perfect princess cake

A sign on the dessert table
I added these signs in the food area. These gold frames I found at Dollar Tree added the perfect amount of shine

Games

Guests had to help the princess find the missing dragon eggs by completing an adventurous scavenger hunt complete with lanterns and swords. Click here to see all the games and activities from our royal day.
