DIY Large Lego Heads

For my son’s lego birthday party, I wanted large lego heads for our table decor. I found a lego head on Amazon for $35 and realized how quickly the cost would add up if I were to purchase a handful of these. So, I searched for DIY lego heads online and the projects I found were a bit too involved. I decided to make them myself another way. Here’s a step-by-step for making your own large lego heads that won’t break the bank or take days to make!

I started this project by wrapping these 6″x6″ and 5″x8″ acrylic vases with the perfect shade of ‘lego yellow’ wrapping paper
(note: any cylinder shaped object will work as long as it is the right size)
I started by lining up the wrapping paper with the bottom of the vase and taping the wrapping paper to the vase using two pieces of tape
Then I wrapped the paper around the vase and put two more pieces of tape on the back to hold it in place
I tucked the excess paper into the top of the vase
Then I traced facial features onto different colored adhesive paper, cut the pieces out, and stuck them on the vases
I named each lego to go with the face template I created below

To make these lego faces, print this template, cut the pieces you want to use, and trace them onto adhesive paper

I placed these blue lego plates from Dollar Tree on top of the heads to see if they would make a good stand for snacks
I decided to go with plain paper plates for a cleaner look
These DIY large lego heads alongside the large lego bricks we made were the perfect addition to our lego birthday party!
