No golf costume is complete without a golf cart to go alongside it! The kids loved riding their golf cart from house to house when they went trick or treating. When it got dark enough, they turned on the headlights and kept on riding, super fun and cute. Read on to find out how I turned my daughter’s pink jeep into a golf cart.

Our kids have gone golfing with my husband and I many times, so when I asked them to pose for pictures they didn’t need any guidance on what golfers do.

I moved the jeep into the middle of the garage, so I could have enough light and space to work on this project. I started by wiping it down with a dry cloth and vacuuming the inside.

I wanted the golf cart to be white, so I used white painter’s tape to cover up all the pink. If your child’s jeep is already the color you want, consider yourself lucky! This was the most tedious part of the project.

I started with the hood and worked my way around, using smaller pieces of tape for smaller areas.

Next, I attached the kids golf bags to the back of the jeep using three long zip ties for each bag. I attached the first zip tie around the back bar of the jeep.

I ran the second zip tie through the back of the golf bag’s legs.

Then I fastened the second zip tie around the tie I secured onto the back bar.

The bag held up with just the two zip ties, but a third one was needed to keep the bag from leaning to one side.

I fastened the third zip tie through the second zip tie and the bar. I put one club in each bag to keep the bags as light as possible.

For the top of the golf cart, I used the canopy from our two person wagon.

I zip tied the front legs of the canopy to the side mirrors and tucked the back legs between the golf bags and the back bar.

Once the canopy was secured, I draped a folded white twin size sheet over the top.

Using cloth scissors, I cut out a scalloped design on both sides of the sheet.

I used a hot glue gun for the front and back of the sheet.

A view from underneath once the sheet was hot glued.

Added adhesive numbers to the side of the golf cart for a finishing touch.

I taped black poster board from Dollar Tree in the wheel well since that area was pink.

Happy Halloween!
