Pirate Ship Cake

My son wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates birthday party for his fourth birthday. So I baked him a pirate ship cake named Bucky, Jake and his crew’s trusty ship from the show. I always get nervous before baking one of my kid’s birthday cakes because I am by no means an expert baker, but the cakes somehow turn out great, they are fun to create, and my kids love them! So I keep baking away. Read below to find out how I made The Buccaneer, aka Bucky the pirate ship.

I baked two 9×13 yellow cakes and placed them upside down on top of eachother. I trimmed the corners diagonally for the front of the ship and cut a four inch slice from the center of the top cake
Next, I frosted the whole cake with chocolate frosting and added Kit-Kat bars along the top edges of the ship
I used red M&Ms for the slide, blue M&Ms for the windows, yellow M&Ms for the border, and added mini characters from the show. I finished the look with Bucky’s blue and white sail and four gold candles!
I went a little overboard (pun intended) and made a second cake. Captain Hook and Smee stuck on an island with Tick-Tock Croc swimming near
There you have it, a pirate ship fit for the finest captain!
