Viney Tree

I made this viney tree out of a huge cardboard box my husband received his car bumper in.  It was the perfection addition to our party. I covered the box with crumpled paper bags as well as some brown postal paper and stapled vines around the tree trunk.  Then I made lots of super long thin branches with additional paper bags/twisted postal wrapping paper and stapled them to the trunk. I made this tree for my son’s dinosaur themed birthday party. Here is a link to more details on the dinosaur party.

You need a trusty stapler and lots of staples
Used filler paper to enhance the tree trunk
Made three columns with filler paper for a tree effect
Used paper bags/postal wrapping paper to cover everything
Laying the tree down to finish covering it was a big help
I made sure to crumple all the paper to give it a tree trunk look
I started stapling from the bottom up and tried to cover up any noticeable gaps
I wrapped the vines around the tree trying to give it a realistic look
I had so many vines, I was able to hang them throughout the house
The kids and guests loved walking under this viney tree!!!
